Quiet, but still at it

Hi all, I've been off the grid a while, but I'm still working on my projects. Today I added 4 month's worth to my Flickr account, but I've not gotten to my blog yet. Please drop by for a look-see and celebrate my progress! I've missed you guys and hope to get caught up on all your wonderful work while I've been gone. I'm also looking forward to next year!

December Done!

I have my December page done and posted. You'll find it here if you care to see it.

I don't know how many times the thought of quitting has gone through my mind. I just haven't been in a good enough mood to hang in there I felt. Well, I realized I was spending too much time reading religious newspapers that are full of politics and pretty hateful and I was feeling it seep into me. I finally realized this was silly - why in the world was I sitting in such a negative place when I could start beading again and be in the positive BJP world? So I picked up my beadwork and started visiting some happier blogs and wow, what a difference it makes. On with bead journaling and out with negative news journaling!!

I had been falling behind a bit but mostly with my blogs so I have finally caught up and updated both my blogs, my web gallery and my website.  I have both of my November and December blocks done and blogged about.  The photo gives you an idea of what my project looks like so far.

I finished my December cuff a little late after starting a lot late. I did the clasp with snaps instead of a button and loop closure. I think I like the tidy look of snaps instead of loops, but we'll see what January brings.

I finally finished my BJP ahead of my self-imposed deadline of Christmas. It still needs the backing put on, but I can still enjoy looking at the finished picture until then.

For this BJP year, I've already determined the acceptable labels for your posts. Please stick with these labels. It will take a few posts to get them all in the index. In this post, I've added all the months. If you post about your work for a specific month, you can use the appropriate month label for it.

The reason to limit the possible labels is because it's easy to get too many labels (confusing) or ones that are too long (hide the down arrow).
