Uh Oh

Has anyone done quite a bit of beading on their journal page only to discover they don't like the background fabric after all?
Sigh.  I am in a pickle here.....

Well, yes, it has happened to me several times... but I keep going anyway. My theory about it is that my critical mind is trying to get control of me. After all, I liked the fabric when I started! So I keep going and remind myself that my work does not have to be perfect, or better than the previous BJP piece, or better than the work of others or even good! Months later when I look at the work, I don't even notice the fabric.

I hope you'll just shut the door on that critical voice, Theresa... your beading is lovely and your piece will be fine just the way it is!

Hugs,
Robin A.

When I look at this page, Robin, what goes through my head over and over again is "Island of Misfit Toys"....:)

I love the "Island of Misfit Toys!" Just keep going - Robin's right! If you don't like the fabric, cover it totally with beads and you won't see it. Happy New Year.

Theresa... please take a look at the next post up from yours... I've made a suggestion to you, but feel it might be useful for many of us... so I wrote it as a post rather than as a comment. Hope you'll give it a try!

Hugs, Robin A.
