Last 2 blocks

Although I posted them a few weeks ago I forgot to let everyone know that I had finished my July and August blocks and have a picture of my 12 finished blocks on their Sacred tree. I still have a lot of work to do before the background layers are done but that will have to wait until the new year as we get closer to having the house we are building finished.

Behind!

I never thougth this would happen. I had every intention of not falling behind on my monthly journals but, life got in the way. I will be working on finishing my last 3 months very soon and will post it all ASAP! Sorry! But, already looking forward to next years BJP starting in January!

May Iris starting to grow.

Although my spring and early summer have been really busy my Iris is finally starting to take root and I expect my May block to be done before too much longer. If you want to see how it is going check it out here. I am so thrilled with it already I can't wait to see it finished.

June Rune!

Hi, all!

This is most likely the last rune I'll be able to post in awhile. Our stuff moves out at the end of the month, then we're on the road! So if you want to see June's rune, you can check it out here.

Also, I just have to say what wonderful work I am seeing this year!!! Yowza! Makes me want to do something new for next year! Keep up the good work all! I'll be back in touch once we get settled...wherever that is! :)

First Post for May

I have finally gotten my first post written for my May page if you would like to check it out go to my BJP blog. I have also updated all the craziness of life to my Artistic Kreations and Passions blog.

Life hasn't been boring but then when is it? I am really glad that we are going to be doing another year. MAybe I will have to come up with an idea to go with our new home ??!?!?

Hi Everyone!

2010 BJP is a GO!!!!

To give ourselves a little time to finish up the current BJP, we will start the new BJP in January of 2010 and it will run through the end of December.

Registration for 2010 BJP will begin in October, following the close of the current BJP. You can keep up to date on registration by checking the Bead Journal Project website, here. Also, I'll post a reminder in September on our blogs.

Please Answer Poll!

Please take a moment to answer the poll at the top of the right sidebar on the 08BJP (#1) blog, here. I'd really like to get an idea of how many people are still participating and how far along we all are. Last year we did two email follow-up surveys... December Done!

I have my December page done and posted. You'll find it here if you care to see it.

I don't know how many times the thought of quitting has gone through my mind. I just haven't been in a good enough mood to hang in there I felt. Well, I realized I was spending too much time reading religious newspapers that are full of politics and pretty hateful and I was feeling it seep into me. I finally realized this was silly - why in the world was I sitting in such a negative place when I could start beading again and be in the positive BJP world? So I picked up my beadwork and started visiting some happier blogs and wow, what a difference it makes. On with bead journaling and out with negative news journaling!!

I have finally gotten back to beading and have started my January page which you can see here if you'd like. No, I don't have November and December done yet - okay, not February or March either. That's why I put Way Behind! as this post's title! Hope to get around soon and see what you are all up to currently.

Slow but Still Plodding Along

I finally finished my November page. Yes, yes I know, it is February. I am probably the biggest behinder this year. Not only that but I fell out of keeping up with all your blogs. I apologize for that. Once I got really behind and Christmas stuff got me behinder I felt too bad to spend my time blogging and not beading. I plan to spend the next two evenings playing catch up. I hope I don't find everyone got as behind as me! If you forgive me and want to see my page it is right here on my blog. See you soon!

October Finished

Just wanted to let you know that yes I am alive and well and that I did finish my October piece. October was a busy month with a couple trips, a party at our house and most importantly a very welcome homecoming. Now that my husband is once again home and we are starting to settle back into life maybe I will be able to keep up with my blogs and e-mails, for those who have been waiting I apologize for the delays. ~Angie

October BJP Complete

This month's BJP is finished. It pretty much shows my daily struggle to accomplish things, both what I want to do and what I have to do. Some days I get it all done, sometimes nothing. Almost always I feel I'm running around in circles which makes me "crazy". Also, October is my birthday month, and being a Libra it's my thing to try to balance. Sometimes, I'm not so good at that, but I do try.

I've seen the beautiful work submitted so far for October. A few times I wanted to just hold on to this months page, save it for another month, and do a Halloween themed page (one of my favorite Holidays). But, this really seems to fit me now, so I kept it. Hopefully soon, I'll get it together and will be more organized. If not, look for the possibility of seeing another "crazy circle" in upcoming pages.

I still have time this month, maybe I will do a Halloween piece to add to my decorations. That is, IF I can find time to do one.....

Uh oh!

I have had an Uh Oh! moment. It's kind of connected to those senior moment kind of things. I have a question on the size of my pages. If anyone is interested in giving their opinion I could sure use it. For all those who say their opinion is never listened to I am willing to hear your suggestions. I don't guarantee I'll do what you suggest but I will listen. I'd really appreciate you coming over to my blog and helping me out.

September Update from Madeline

I have made some changes to my blog and posted an update on my September piece. I actually was able to follow Diane's instructions and successfully added the project button to my blog. For someone who is new to blogging this is a huge success. Another way I am building skills by taking part in this project.

I have my September entry partially completed and have not even begun to prep for my October piece. I am thinking based on my theme that I will need to go and look for some fabric and beads since, if I stick to my theme, I will need to buy supplies since it is not a color palette that I normally work in (at least I can look forward to the supply shopping--maybe that will help to motivate me). I am usually drawn to the cool colors and this will require me to move to another warm color (the orange family) which will be a stretch for me. Done for Sept.

I've completed the September BJP, photographed it and finally got it on the computer. If you'd like to see it you can visit my Blog here.

I have to say, even with me being tramatized by my mistake, I really enjoyed it. I learned a valuable lesson (always good to learn) and am anxious to get going on October' page. This is quite relaxing, I must say.

If you do end up checking my page, please let me know what you think. Do you think it needs to have the edge finished or should I leave it as is?

Labels
For this BJP year, I've already determined the acceptable labels for your posts. Please stick with these labels. It will take a few posts to get them all in the index. In this post, I've added all the months. If you post about your work for a specific month, you can use the appropriate month label for it.

When you post, click on Show all at lower right of posting box, and choose appropriate label(s) from the list shown.

The reason to limit the possible labels is because it's easy to get too many labels (confusing) or ones that are too long (hide the down arrow).

Hope this is OK with everyone. If you feel it's important to add a label, please ask Diane M. (our blog master) about it. Thanks!
